Well, today started like any other day. I mean, who ought to've predicted that a simple trip to grab the mail would escalate my personal disaster zone? I was just finishing up my morning coffee when I realized I locked myself in with the keys still inside. Inside! You simply couldn't imagine the despair that overwhelmed me like a tidal flood.
I tried every maneuver I knew of, from forcing the lock to digging it open. Nothing worked!
The sun was getting warmer, and my phone battery was slowly draining. To top it all off, I was starting to feel embarrassed as neighbors started to peep.
Eventually, after what felt like an eternity, a kind neighbor pointed out calling a locksmith. Let me tell you, that phone call was the most pricey one I've ever had. The locksmith showed up and easily got my door open.
Lesson learned? Maybe. But mostly, I'm never doing anything without a spare key again! .

A nagging voice in my head is screaming/I'm filled with frustration/It feels like a punch to the gut. What makes it even worse? It's pouring rain.
